He was predeceased by: his mother Gloria J. Thomas; and his adoptive parents, Virgie Pitre and Hayward Pitre, Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Lamikka Soileau (Herman, Sr.) and Corey Ardoin, Sr.; his father Alvin Lavigne, Sr.; his siblings, Kenneth Thomas (Priscilla), Carolyn Marie Thomas, Chris Harris, Joseph "Chubby" Carrier (Misty), Troy Carrier, Elaine Carrier, Alvin Lavigne (Cynthia), Scotty Lavigne (Rachel) and Jody Lavigne (Erica); and his grandchildren, Corey, Jr., Devontae', Zakhar, Herman, Jr. and Khari. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
