With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gilbert Scott Lafleur Sr. of Ville Platte, Louisiana, who passed away on December 18, 2024 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Gilbert Scott leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his father Jean Batiste "Coonie" Lafleur. He is survived by: his mother Roberta Vidrine Lafleur of Ville Platte; his fiancé Kelly Fontenot of Ville Platte; his son Gilbert Scott Lafleur Jr. of Lake Charles; and his siblings, Jay Lafleur (Cindy) of Ville Platte, Todd Lafleur (Cathy) of Ville Platte, Daniel Lafleur (Sonya) of Ville Platte and Perrodin (Lee) of Butte LaRose. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
