It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertie Pitre of Ville Platte, Louisiana, who passed away on September 17, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughters, Peggy Williams of Alexandria, LA, Phyllis Lewis of Ville Platte, LA and Mary Freeman of Ville Platte, LA; and her sister Effline Calliban of Crosby, TX. She was also cherished by 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
