Evanna Fontenot Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Evanna Fontenot of Ville Platte, Louisiana, born in Mamou, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2025 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson A. Fontenot and Lelia Johnson Fontenot. She is survived by: her daughters, Tina Fontenot Dupre of Ville Platte, Deborah Fontenot Thibodeaux (Michael) of Baton Rouge and Anna Fontenot Fontenot (Mike); her grandchildren, Dody Lynn Thibodeaux, Dustin Fontenot, Caleb Fontenot, Nicole Dowden, Jessica F. Guidry, Jered Fontenot and Heather Fontenot Flynn; her great grandchildren, Victoria Horn, Michael Gobert, Trinity Jones, Kalea Thibodeaux, Kyndle Fontenot, Kolby Fontenot, Gabriel Nolan, Amos Flynn, Jeremiah Fontenot and Evanna Fontenot; her great great grandchildren, Harley Horn, Remington Horn, Jospeh Gobert, Enzo Jones, Matthew Gobert and Ellie Jones; her siblings, Delvin Fontenot (Georgie) of Baton Rouge, Mack Fontenot, Roderick Fontenot, Edius Fontenot, Virgil Fontenot, Frenella Fontenot Saucier and Dagment Fontenot Ankeny; her granddaughter Sadie Jo Thibodeaux; her great grandchild Beaux Martin; and the father of her children Roland B. "Sky King" Fontenot.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (709 W Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at the Te-Mamou Cemetery.
