She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughters, Cheryl Lafleur of Chicot, Mary Irene Nichols (Nick) of Ville Platte, Jennifer Fontenot Price of Basile and Christine F. Fontenot of Ville Platte; her daughter-in-law Voncille Fontenot; her sister Brenda Monier Thorpe; her parents, Yourick Monier and Alidia Monier; her husband Irving Ben Fontenot; her son Charlie "The Cop" Fontenot (Ricky "Roach" Fontenot); her grandchildren, April Renee Fontenot and Chantel Marie Fontenot; her son-in-law Francil Benny Fontenot; and her caregivers, Cathy Toups and Michelle Thrasher. She was also cherished by 20 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 22 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (709 W Main St, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A rosary was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Jules Cemetery (1368 Attales Rd, Ville Platte, LA 70586).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests to have masses at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in honor of Eva.
