He is survived by: his mother Rachel Fontenot; his father-in-law Gary of Ville Platte; his father Blaine Matte (Carolyn) of Ville Platte; his children, Taylor Matte Charlie of Ville Platte and Tripp Matte of Shreveport; his brothers, John "Chip" Blaine Matte Jr. (Dana) of Ville Platte and Jeremy Matte (Ashley) of Carencro; his uncles, Farley Matte of Patterson and Hosea Dexter Soileau of Ville Platte; and his aunt Lori Matte of Australia.
