He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas Shelton Vizena and Vernice Deshotel Vizena; and his sister Jane Vizena Burge. He is survived by: his wife Linda Ortego Vizena; his children, Mariecha Vizena Joubert of Ville Platte, Shelly Vizena of Ville Platte and Joseph Wayne Vizena of Port Allen; his grandchildren, Lauren Joubert and Nicholas Joubert; and his brother Scotty Jude Vizena (Elda "Sis") of Basile. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
