He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Bernard and Emily Sonnier Bernard (Ronella Fontenot Bernard); and his brothers, Louis Bernard, Victor Bernard Jr. and Wilson Bernard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Paula Meyer (Mark) of Ville Platte, Marla Bordelon (Gilbert) of Pine Prairie, Chris Brown (Kerney) of Ville Platte and Anita Manuel (Scott) of Faubourg; his siblings, Ray Bernard of Ville Platte and Marie Stoute of Baker; his grandchildren, Dustin Meyer (Laura), Kyle Meyer (Hillary), AJ Meyer (Shelbi), Monique Loga (Ethan), Christopher Bordelon (Tabitha), Benjamin Bordelon (Brittany), Nicholas Bordelon (Jorgie), Cody O'Connor (Britany), Michael Manuel (Kayla) and Jennifer Manuel; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth Bordelon, Lillian Bordelon, Madisen Bordelon, Kalli Rae O'Connor, Olivia Bordelon, Sophia Bordelon, Trey Meyer, Luke Meyer, Reid Meyer, Emma Loga, Liam Loga, Ashton O'Connor, Isabelle Meyer, Gaberial Meyer, Rose Meyer, Charlotte Bordelon, Walker Bordelon, McKinley Bordelon, Zoe Guillory and Robert Meyer; and his great great grandchild Lucas Ardoin.
