We are sad to announce that on October 14, 2021, at the age of 69, Calton Slaughter of Ville Platte, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Murphy Slaughter and Mary Slaughter. He is survived by: his daughter Helen Lavalais (Michael); his grandchildren, Trevor of Alexandria, LA, Char of Alexandria, LA and Gerel Lavalais of Alexandria, LA; his close friend Martha Matthews; his siblings, Carolyn S. Doucet of Ville Platte, LA, Claudia Stewart of Beaumont, TX, Romona T. Sigur (Michael) of Beaumont, TX, Pamela D. Slaughter of Beaumont, TX and Larry Slaughter of Lake Charles, LA; and his aunt Lou Anna Thomas. He is also survived by 4 Godchildren that he loved so dearly; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Therefore, the number of guests will be limited and face masks will be MANDATORY to attend the viewing and service.
