With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bertha Soileau Morein of Ville Platte, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2025 at the age of 98. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francoise Soileau and Camille Reed Soileau; her siblings, Herbert, Ferrier, Francis Soileau, Marie Fontenot, Melda Vestal, Nettie Rozas, Lelma Fuselier, Nazel Hebert and Amy Tate; and her grandson Brian Morein.
She is survived by: her husband Woodrow Morein of Ville Platte; her children, Don Morein (Beth) of Ville Platte, David Morein (Kathy) of Ville Platte and Fonda Launey of Ville Platte; and her grandchildren, Chet McCauley, Lori M. Fontenot, Lisa M. Menuet, Jennifer M. Stelly, Julie M. LaFleur, Dana Chapman, Ike Morein and Jared Morein. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sacred Heart Foundation in Bertha's honor.
