With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernita Lafleur (Ville Platte, Louisiana), born in Washington, Louisiana, who passed away on October 23, 2020 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norbert Lee and Amalise Ortego; her husband Dudley J. Lafleur; and her siblings, Allen Ortego, Huey Ortego (Chunk) and Ruby Ortego Ardoin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Joan Dannie Lafleur of Lafayette and Kerry Lafleur Higginbotham (Ray) of Vidrine; her grandchildren, Mitchell Broussard, Leah Judice, Nicole Faulk, Brandy Nereaux, Dane Broussard, John Higginbotham, Robin Berzas, Nicholas Higginbotham and Joshua Higginbotham; and her sisters, Jane Courville of New Iberia, Sylvia Veillon of New Iberia and Patsy Dupre of Grand Prairie, LA.. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
