He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Earl Tidwell and Nettie McDaniel Tidwell; and his brother Gerard McDaniel. He is survived by: his wife Katie Tidwell of Bayou Chicot; his sons, Ben Tidwell (Kathy Vivola) of Bayou Chicot and Dustin Tidwell of Atlanta, Georgia; his sisters, Yvonne Barron of Ville Platte, Karen Sue Tidwell of Ville Platte and Wendy Tidwell Lafleur of Ville Platte; his grandchildren, Hayden Tidwell and John Tidwell-Davidson; and his in-laws, Arthur and Vera Guillory of Ville Platte.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (7621 US-167, Ville Platte, LA 70586). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at the Vandenberg Cemetery.
