She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence Abraham; her parents, R. L. Thornton and Alynne Johnson Compton; her brother Dwight Thornton; and her grandson Jamichael Boyd.

She is survived by: her children, Clarence Boyd of Alexandria, LA, Latasha Abraham of Lafayette, LA and Regan Boyd of Tomball, TX; her siblings, Robert Thornton (Eva) of Columbia, LA, Mitchell Thornton of Grayson, LA, Charles Thornton (Rose), Van Compton (Crystal) of Dallas, TX, Rosa Meadors (Harold) of Tacoma, WA, Barbara Simmons of Columbia, LA, Daisy Lewis (Lorenzo) of Odenton, MD and Lesa Lewis (Greg) of Snellville, GA; her siblings-in-law, John Abraham (Bertha) of Wharton, TX, Carrie Mae Bridges of Hawthorne, CA, Gladys Swafford of Colfax, LA and Celeste Clark (Leon) of Battle Creek, MI; her grandchildren, Koriey Dixon, Kamille Dixon, Jamarion Boyd, Allonna Boyd and Micah Johnson; and her godchildren, Michael Hudson and Maura Jack. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 10:00 a. m. to 11:45 a. m. at St. John Baptist Church. ** Please be advised we will adhere to the safety measures and precautions provided by the state of Louisiana due to COVID-19.
