She was predeceased by: her husband James H. Pennington, Sr.; her parents, Edwin John Kassel and Hazel Warnaka Kassel; her brother William "Bill" Kassel; her son-in-law Randy Temple; and her sister-in-law Patty Kassel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Amelunke Temple of Vidalia, LA, Dawn Amelunke Smith of Monroe, LA and Darla Amelunke Johnston (Jackie) of Vidalia, LA; her siblings, Willard Kassel of Sicily Island, LA and Charolette Rhodes (Melvin) of Jackson, MO; her grandchildren, Meagan Hendricks (Josh), Josh Temple (Abbie), Lauren Joslyn (Paul), Tyler Smith (Savannah), Nick Johnston and Madison Johnston Batey (Trey); her great grandchildren, Chase, Ryleigh, Parker, Sydney, Skylar, Hayes, Graham, Jack, Layla, Leanna and Archer; her nephews, Scott Rhodes (Kristine), Todd Rhodes (Sandy) and Wade Rhodes (Kathy); her niece Christy Parrish; her stepchildren, James Pennington, Jr. (Karen), Gerald Pennington (Claire), Michael Pennington, Peggy Pennington McClain (Mike), Joyce Pennington Sonnier and Jennifer Pennington Rogers (Ty); and her grandsons, Jordan Temple, Josh Hendricks, Trey Batey and Paul Joslyn.
