She was predeceased by: her son Matthew Dewayne Mayeux; her parents, Ernest Slater and Dorothy Slater; and her sister Charlotte Cox. She is survived by: her children, Michael Mayeux (Leah) of Marksville, Belinda Matthews of Vick, Ernest Charrier of Hessmer and Charles Charrier (Elizabeth) of Ville Platte; and her brother Wayburn "Buddy" Slater of Texas. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Vick's Baptist Church (2803 LA-1196, Vick, LA 71331). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
