He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria B. Buras; his parents, Frank Buras and Verna Smith Buras; his son Elwood "Frog" Buras, Jr.; and his sister Lucille Bernard.
He is survived by: his children, Priscilla Smith (late Wade), Joy Casanova (late Glen), Harold Wallace (Patty) and Guy Lynn Buras (Survived); and his siblings, Leander Buras (late Linda), Bertrand Buras, Irvin Buras, Mercedes Broussard, Glenda Cedotal, Hazel, Verna, Esther and Myrtle. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
