Francis Joseph Rodrigue Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Francis Joseph Rodrigue of Vacherie, Louisiana, who passed away on January 13, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Rodrigue, Sr. and Therese Simon Rodrigue; his brothers, Erkle Rodrigue (Shirley), Alfred Rodrigue, Jr. (Rose) and Harold Rodrigue (Elaine); his brothers-in-law, Ronald Waguespack and Walter "Doug" Friederichsen; and his parents-in-law, Luby Guidry and Theresa B. Guidry.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Guidry Rodrigue; his children, Kevin Rodrigue (Tiffine), Keith Rodrigue (Connie) and Connie Rodrigue Crochet (Todd); his grandchildren, Elliot Rodrigue (Lynze), Quinton Rodrigue (Megan) and Emily Poche (Dylan); his children, Kourtney Labat (Rene), Kacey Hernandez (Brett), Kyla Matthews (Taylor), Kathleen Rodrigue (Blake), Grant Crochet (Paige) and Dina Chanove (Kevin); his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Katherine, Claire Labat, Hallie, Cole Hernandez, Redding, McCoy Matthews, Maverick Robinson, Case, Wryn Crochet, Edie, Graham Rodrigue and Briggs Poche; his sisters, Emily Waguespack and Therese Friederichsen; and his friend Jacolby Octave. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Philip Catholic Church (1175 LA-18, Vacherie, LA 70090). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations may be made to St. Philip Church or St. James Arc.
