It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarence Davontine (Vacherie, Louisiana), who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Deverteuil and Rosalee Joseph Nash; his grandparents, Vanderbilt Joseph and Elnora Joseph; and his siblings, Calvin Davontine and Lori Ann Nash.
He is survived by: his wife Natalie Benoit Davontine; his daughter Chanedra Leguam Davontine; his grandson Kadon M. Davontine; his siblings, Rose M. Ward (late Joseph Ward), Michele Horne (Reuben) of New Orleans, LA, Laverne N. Armant (Carlos L. Julien) of Vacherie, LA, Lawrence Nash (late Carternell V. Nash), Donald D. Nash (Betty), Ronald P. Nash (Alicia) of Vacherie, LA, Joseph Deverteuil, Jr. (Demetrill) and Rickey Deverteuil (Gwendolyn) of Gonzales, LA; and his friend Nick Oubre.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (1244 Magnolia Heights St, Vacherie, LA 70090). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
