It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claire Waguespack Amedee of Vacherie, Louisiana, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel Amedee; her parents, Clarence Sr. Waguespack (Janet Zeringue) and Annette Simon Waguespack; and her sister Annette Folse. She is survived by: her children, Philip Amedee (Antoinette), Denise Pennington (Wesley), Vincent Amedee (Angela), Paul Amedee (Tootie) and Claire Bourgeois (Ron); her grandchildren, Reid Amedee, Kacey Faul, Rob Pennington, Justin Pennington, Mandy Pennington, Taylor Aucoin, Andrew Amedee, Baily Amedee, Cole Amedee, Emma Bourgeois and Andre Bourgeois; her great grandchildren, Sadie Amedee, Adeline Amedee, Aubrey Faul and Walker Faul; and her siblings, Myrna Falgoust and Raymond Waguespack. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
