He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sidney Emfinger and Ida Smith Emfinger of Virginia; and his siblings, Sidney Claudis "Red" Emfinger, Loyce Dixon Mason of Virginia, Dorothy Edith Dixon Bacle, Maida Lillian Dixon Arnold, Ina Marie Dixon Arnold, William Marion "Sonny" Dixon, Jr., Hilary "Pete" Dixon and William Sidney Emfinger.
He is survived by: his wife Sherlene Jameson Emfinger of Urania; his daughters, Holly Johnston (Henry) of Golden Colorado and Michelle Emfinger (Clare Rogan) of Detroit, Michigan; and his grandchildren, Conner Johnston (Viviane) of San Jose, Savannah Johnston of Bozeman, Max of Detroit, Michigan. and Stella Rogan of Detroit, Michigan.. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephew.
In lieu of flowers, any planned memorials can be made to the Tullos First Baptist Church Building Fund, Tullos, LA.
