He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Fontenot and Donna Fontenot; his daughter Nancy Kim Fontenot; and his siblings, Adrian Fontenot, Clyde Fontenot, Marvin Fontenot, Lee Herman Fontenot, Hazel Behrnes and Annie Mae Guillory.
He is survived by: his wife Leola V. Fontenot of Turkey Creek; his children, Johnny "Buddy" Fontenot of Turkey Creek, Ryan Fontenot (Norma) of Bayou Chicot, Adrian Fontenot (Angie) of Bayou Chicot and Kelly Ducote (Joey) of Turkey Creek; his brother Dillard Fontenot (Doris) of Turkey Creek; his grandchildren, Taylor Doucet, John Fontenot, Nickolas Fontenot-Lindsey, Kasey Guillory, Nicholas Deville, Damon Fontenot, Corey Ducote and Kelby Ducote; and his great grandchildren, Braxtyn Guillory, Lillian Ducote and Robyn Ducote.
