It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Edward Lanier (Trout, Louisiana), who passed away on January 17, 2022, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Travis "Tab", Flora, John and Mamie Neal; and his siblings, Margaret Lynn Smith, John Wayne Lanier (Denise) of Belah and Richard "Rickie" Lanier.
He is survived by: his wife Scarlet Stringer Lanier; his siblings-in-law, Billy Smith of Jonesville, Dwan Stringer (Janice) of Trout, Hansen Stringer (Karen) of Trout, Collin Stringer (Suzanne) of Trout and Sharon Quaidy (Alan) of DeRidder; and his aunt Jerry Walker of Jena. He is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews; 39 great nieces and nephews; 4 great great nieces.
