He was predeceased by: his wife Evelyn C. Stringer; his son Lawson Alonzo Stringer, Jr. (Little Butcie); and his siblings, Ottis Stringer and LaVessa Erwin. He is survived by: his children, Sharon Quaidy (Alan) of Derider, Louisiana, L. D. Stringer (Janice) of Trout, Louisiana, Hansen Stringer (Boo Boo) of Trout, Louisiana, Collin Stringer (Suzanne) of Trout, Louisiana and Scarlet Lanier (Steve) of Jena, Louisiana. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
