He is survived by: his sons, Blake Rushing and Casey Rushing; his daughter-in-law Courtney of Gonzales, Louisiana; his grandson Rex Rushing; the mother of his children Janeen Freeman Duhe; his parents, Pleasant Monroe Joseph Rushing Sr. and Barbara Comeaux Rushing; his brother Brent David Rushing; his nephew Brent Wheat Rushing; and his pet Sweet Pea.
