She was predeceased by: her parents, John Governale Jr. and Virginia Musacchia Governale; her former husband Arthur Ellis Bernard Jr.; her uncle Anthony P. Musacchia Jr.; and her grandparents, Angelina Musacchia, Anthony P. Musacchia Sr., John Governale Sr. and Rosa M. Governale.
She is survived by: her son Joshua Bernard (Amanda); her stepson Arthur Ellis "Trey" Bernard, III (Holly); her stepgrandchildren, Wilson and Madelyn; her grandchildren, Brody Ellis Bernard and Dawson Kate Bernard; her sister Sharon McDowell (Matt); her niece Heather Price (Tommy); her aunt Frances Banks; her daughter-in-law Erin Kenney; and her pet Lulu.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church (14450 LA-442, Tickfaw, LA 70466). A burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Cemetery (14450 LA-442, Tickfaw, LA 70466).
