It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rodney Neal Strate Sr. of Tickfaw, Louisiana, who passed away on September 23, 2022, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Genevieve 'Sally Strate; his son James Robert Strate; and his sister Emelia Lorraine Strate. He is survived by: his wife Janet Harris Strate; his children, Audra M. Strate (Brown), Rodney N. Strate, Jr., John Calvin Strate, Steven Anthony Strate and Raymond Mitchell Strate; his grandchildren, Shelby Strate, Haley Strate, Victoria Strate, Katelynn Strate, Piper Strate, Mia Strate, Mallory Strate, Jadeyn Strate, Realite Strate, Elizabeth Strate and Andrew Brown; his father Calvin Joseph Strate, Sr.; and his siblings, Cecilia Strate Brock, Calvin Joseph Strate, Jr., David Neal Strate, Sr., Carl Anthony Strate, Thomas Dale Strate and Leo Allen Strate. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
