With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Shaffett (Tickfaw, Louisiana), born in Albany, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 14, 2024 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her husband Leslie Patrick Shaffett; her daughter Susan Annett Shaffett; her parents, Leon Otis and Thelma Willie McAllister Sanders; and her siblings, Annie Mae Sanders, Carol Ann Andrews, Patsy Sandres Andrews, Leon Otis Sanders Jr. and Jerry Wayne Sanders.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Ann Starkey (Ray) and Kenneth Ray Shaffett (Shelia); her sister Gracie Lee Andrews (Alfred); and her grandchildren, Leslie Shaffett (Emily), Tonya Collins (Jason), Aubrey Mitchell Jr., Kimberly Hebert (Ty), Donna Shaffett, Jennifer Upham (Jason), Natasha Shaffett, Frank Ramos, Lana Ramos, Felisha Ramos, Richard Ramos, Lenore Starkey, Steven Starkey and Tony Starkey. She is also survived by 31 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren, host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given that will be used by the family to honor Mary's life and memory.
