With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emma Evonne Howell of Tickfaw, Louisiana, born in Independence, Louisiana, who passed away on January 11, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Cleon Kirkland; her son Jack Howell; and her sisters, Lee Lamonte, Ruby Nicolosi, Margaret Carpenter and Lucy Williams.

She is survived by: her husband Rev. Felix "Jim" Howell; her children, Alvy Howell (Cathy), Joann Kirkland, Peewee Howell (Jan), Nancy Cooper and Amanda Abbasi (Nadeem); and her sisters, Ann Coates (Johnny) and Ruth Rushing (Leonard, Jr.). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
