He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Warner Johnson and Oscar Johnson, Sr.; his son Donald Johnson; his siblings, Oscar Jr., Earl Johnson, Eunice Reed, Oneida Tucker and Geraldine Woods; and his grandson Tyrin Triggs.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Johnson; his children, Kevin Johnson, Sr. (Page), Patricia Nolan, Ellen Matthews and Tammy Johnson; his sister Sylvia Adams; and his goddaughter Karen Tucker. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren 2 great great grandchildren.
