It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Troy William Thompson III (Thibodaux, Louisiana), who passed away on September 15, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Troy William Thompson, Jr.; his sister Merle Ann Thompson Reece; his grandparents, Troy William Thompson, Sr., Mildred Carter Thompson, James Claude Jones, Sr. and Merle Johnston Jones; and his in-laws, Ralph Herman Gremillion and Ann Bolen Gremillion.
He is survived by: his wife Allison Gremillion Thompson; his mother Alice Jones Thompson; his children, Laura Leigh Thompson Buisson, Troy William Thompson, IV and John Macon Thompson (Candice); his grandchildren, Allison Ann Buisson, Claire Catherine Buisson and Beau Thomas Buisson; his siblings, Martha Thompson Thomassie (Tommy) and Milly Thompson Eichler; his siblings-in-law, David Reece, Sr., Dr. Scott Gremillion (Roberta), Mary Ann Caillouet and Laura Kingston (Kenneth); his uncle Robert Thompson, Sr. (Kathy); and his aunts, JoAnn Thompson and Ann Daigle (Leslie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph Elementary School or Edward Douglas White Catholic High School.
