She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence Mathews, Sr.; her parents, Rebecca Thomas and Ernest Miller; her grandsons, Jovante Thomas and Rashad Washington; her great grandchild Kayih Grey; and her godson Don Miller.
She is survived by: her daughters, Josie and Liza Thomas; her stepsons, Clarence Mathews, Jr. and Richard Washington; and her brothers, Phillip and Charles Miller. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Old Fountain Baptist Church (615 LA-308, Thibodaux, LA 70301).
