He was predeceased by: his wife Mary June Martin Becnel; his daughter Julie Vesich; his parents, Premilas Francis and Inez Bourgeois Becnel; and his siblings, Lirland Lichtenstein, Florine Peters and Daniel T Becnel.

He is survived by: his children, Regina Finn, Joan Bourg, Jane Durocher (Jonathan), Jolene Brock, James Becnel (Christine) and David Becnel. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren.
