With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rita Toups of Theriot, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Rita left this world on November 12, 2024 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Roland J. Toups; her parents, William J. Fields Sr. and Caroline Zimmerle Fields; her sons, Craig Toups and Glenn Toups; her siblings, William J. Fields, James B. Fields, Anita F. Melkild and Catherine F. Gassen; and her grandsons, Jonathan Toups and Jacob Toups.
She is survived by: her children, Linda LeBeouf (Eric), Susan Alario (Vincent) and Carl Toups (Michelle); and her daughter-in-law Tammy Boudreaux Toups. She is also survived by thirteen loving grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Savior Catholic Church (612 Main St, Lockport, LA 70374). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
