He was predeceased by: his parents, Antoine "Buck" Chauvin and Beatrice Samanie; his son Todd Chauvin; and his siblings, Enis, Peter "Pete" Chauvin, Percy "Plug" Chauvin, Floyd "Timmy" Chauvin and Doris "Dot" Duplantis (Sybil Marcel).
He is survived by: his wife Jane Wantlin Chauvin; his children, Trent Chauvin (Marion), Toni Dugas (John), Tammy Knight (Dwayne), Terri Theriot (Lawrence) and Troy Chauvin; his grandchildren, Edward "Eddie", Melissa, Jessica, Paige, Shelbie, Andrew, Skylar, Hailey and Hunter; and his brother Lloyd "Totsy" Chauvin. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
