It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lloyd Leon Thomassie of Terrytown, Louisiana, born in Marrero, Louisiana, who passed away on April 26, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Weathers Thomassie; his son Troy A. Thomassie; his parents, Frances Herod Thomassie and Woodrow Thomassie; and his brother-in-law Emile Weathers (Willie).
He is survived by: his daughter Tara Thomassie Voss (Robert); his grandchildren, Emily Voss, Lauren Voss, Kevin Thomassie, Carson Thomassie and Nicholas Thomassie; his great grandchild Carly Thomassie; and his sister Enola Brooks (Michael).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Lloyd's name to Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation, because of his love of fishing and the outdoors.
