With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emily L. Cox of Terrytown, Louisiana, born in Abilene, Texas, who passed away on July 20, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Lackey and Elizabeth Lackey; her husband Charles L. Cox, Sr.; and her sister-in-law Susan S. Lackey. She is survived by: her sons, Charles L. Cox, Jr. and Joseph G. Cox, Sr. (Karen M. Cox); her grandsons, Joseph G. Cox, Jr. (Katie Cox), Christopher M. Cox (Heidi Cox), Robert C. Cox, Daniel P. Cox (Leah Cox) and Jason Gibson (Melanie Gibson); her great grandchildren, Christian Andrew, Jazmyn Cox, Joseph G. Cox, III, Marcel Fajardo, Andrew Cox, Sami-Jo Cox, Dakota Cox, Logan Cox, Destiny Gibson, Mason Gibson and Angel Gibson; her great great grandchild Jasper Andrew; her brother Milton Lackey; her sister-in-law Terry Pierce (Al Pierce); and her nieces and nephews, Rhonda Lackey Holder, Dolly Cox of Colorado, Randall Lackey and Brian Lackey.
