He was predeceased by: his father William Jennings Thigpen, Jr.; and his brother Thomas Stanley Thigpen. He is survived by: his son William Jennings Thigpen, IV; his mother Alice Tingle Ervin; and his brothers, Sam Thigpen (Kristen) and Peewee Thigpen (Deborah).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Glenwood Funeral Home (145 US-80, Vicksburg, MS 39180). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
