He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Sylvester and Sarah Madlin Stockman of Nevada; his children, Betty Waldrup Stockman and Richard Stockman, Jr.; and his siblings, Eletta Stockman, Geneva Culpepper, Samuel Stockman and Roy Stockman.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Tucker, Ginger Brown and Shannon McCormick. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
