He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Felix Irving "Toad" Hopkins, Sr. and Louise Hudson Hopkins; his wife Shirley Blair Hopkins; his daughters, Charlotte Hopkins Burrell and Felicia Hopkins Strunk; his grandsons, Caleb Scott Strunk, Carson David Strunk and Mason Irving Strunk; and his siblings, Lynell Laird, Kayren Brown and Melvin Hopkins. He was also cherished by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
