He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Richard and Edna Mott Richard; and his brothers, Sheridan and Michael Richard. He is survived by: his wife Dezere Miller Richard of Sweetlake; his daughter Afton Varnado of Stephenville, Texas; his stepchildren, Neil Foster (Patsy), Kelly Mudd (Lance) of Sweetlake and Holly Berry (David) of Locust Grove, Oklahoma.; his grandchildren, Kyle Varnado of Texas, T. R. Varnado (Abigail) of Texas, Chase Varnado (Taylor) of Texas, Sierra Felton (Sy) of Texas, Kyla Richard (Brett) of Sweetlake, Kallan Stout (Christopher) of Sweetlake, Marlie Martin (Adam) of Sweetlake and Quincy Kennedy (Kendall) of Sweetlake; and his siblings, Lynn Richard (Gloria) of Iowa, Delores Myers of Lake Charles, Eloise Myers of Lake Charles, Elia Breaux of Wilmington, Ranella Fruge (Bob) of Lacassine and Sandra Richard of Woodlawn.
