It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Ray Speir of Swartz, Louisiana, who passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Ray Speir to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Wright Speir; his parents, George Speir and Lillie Speir; and his siblings, George Speir, Jr., Frances Cole, Virginia Renwick, Marie Glenn and Patsy Causey.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sandy Miller (Alan) and Sonya Speir; his grandchildren, Katie Dupuy (Daniel), Kelsie Scharr (Jacob) and James David Miller; his great grandchild Lillie Sue Dupuy; and his brother Jerry Speir. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Swartz First Baptist Church.
