He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Taylor and Eliza Taylor; and his siblings, Alex Taylor, Sidney Taylor, Bruno Taylor, Clarence Taylor, Lynn Taylor, Edward Taylor, Delta Bourque and Corrine Sorrenson.
He is survived by: his children, Sam Taylor, Jr. of Ville Platte, Mark Taylor of Carencro, Scott Taylor of Sunset, Sonia Taylor of Lafayette and Christine Taylor-Poitier (John) of Houston, TX; and his siblings, Allen Taylor and Annabelle Tauzin. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
