He is survived by: his daughter Valencia Chavis (McArther) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Ty Abra Aggison, Tangala Simpson and Travarious Francis; his stepgrandchildren, Darion Chavis and McKiaya Chavis; his sisters, Melva Rose Angelle (Leroy) of Lafayette, Loretta Gray (Joseph) of Lafayette, Elizabeth Martin (Roland) of Carencro, Priscilla Bright (Edwin) of Franklin, Ida B. Key (John) of Sunset and Cynthia Briscoe; his brother-in-law Adam Batiste of Cankton; and his brothers, Percy Briscoe (Beatrice) of Carencro, Oliver Briscoe (Carolyn) of Lafayette, Edward Briscoe (Gloria) of Church Point, Anthony Briscoe of Church Point, Howard Briscoe of Joelton and Joseph Briscoe (Nell) of Houston, TX. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
