She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Boyd Cathey and Comer H. Cathey; her brother Orval Hubert Cathey; her son Joseph Lalonde (Joey); and her grandson Patrick Falterman.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Raymond "LaLa" Lalonde; her children, Marcel Lalonde (Amy Arcediano Lalonde) of Baton Rouge, Julie Lalonde Robinson (Douglas Robinson) of Denham Springs and Cynthia Lalonde Falterman (Patrick); and her grandchildren, Bryce Robinson, David Falterman, Ellen Falterman, Emma Lalonde, Ella Lalonde and Elyse Lalonde.
