She was predeceased by: her husband Mervin Melancon; her children, Robert Lee Melancon, Joseph Linton Melancon, Sr., Pamela Marie Melancon, Mary Yvonne Melancon and Marian Thomas; her sons-in-law, Samuel Roy Williams, Felix Davis, Jr. and Leonard Thomas; and her siblings, Preston Boutte, Elton Shaw, Milton Shaw, Pelton Shaw, Corlis Shaw, Evelyn Senegal and JoAnn Melancon.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Anthony Melancon (Juanita) of Bellevue, Fabiola Melancon Williams of Sunset, Irma Lee Davis of Sunset, Patsy Thomas (Paul) of Sunset and Emily Senegal (Kirby) of Leonville; her daughter-in-law Wanda Guidry Melancon; and her godson Michael Boutte (Faye). She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; eight grandchildren.
