It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ashton J. Dugas (Sunset, Louisiana), born in Cankton, Louisiana, who passed away on February 17, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Olivier Dugas; his parents, Clesmae Dugas and Eva Hernandez; and his siblings, Loveless Dugas, Rayford Dugas, Laura Babineaux, Goldie Girard, Athalie Falcon and Juliette "Pantal" Thibodeaux.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Dugas (Donna) of Sunset, Ronald Dugas of Sunset and Karlene Dugas of Sunset; and his sisters, Anna Bell Jones of Carencro and Delores "Plu" Castille of Carencro. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
