It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amedie Meche of Sunset, Louisiana, born in Cankton, Louisiana, who passed away on February 25, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Meche and Ella Menard Meche; his grandson Dusty Prudhomme; his great grandchild Hunter Lester; and his siblings, Euella Meche Babineaux, Evie "Sis" Meche Babineaux, Cyprien Meche, Clarence Meche and Lawrence Meche.
He is survived by: his wife Sybil Wilks Meche; his children, Barbara Meche Nugent (Louis), Paulette Meche Counce (Dicky), Francis Meche Prudhomme (Terry) and Florette Meche Guidry (Joe); his grandchildren, Tiffanie Nugent Littlefield (Brad), Brooke Nugent (Christie), Kendra Miller Lester (Lad), Bryce Prudhomme (Toni), Derek Guidry, Brock Guidry and Kristin Guidry; and his great grandchildren, Emily Littlefield, Clare Nugent, Sloane Nugent, Spencer Lester, Emma Kate Lester, Brody Prudhomme and Sadie Prduhomme.
