She is survived by: her children, Joan Kershaw (Murphy) of Iowa, Gary Slaven (Julie) of Carlyss and Darryle Slaven (Oline) of Huntsville, TX; her grandchildren, Kyle Slaven, Craig Slaven, Carly Touchette, Brenda Findley-Howe, Stephanie Reed, Bryan Findley, Roy Slaven, John Slaven, Joe Slaven, Megan Pickens, Colson Slaven, Cherri Trahan and Gena Kershaw; her brother Kirby Seal (Dot); and her spouse Melvin Slaven. She is also survived by thirteen great-granddaughters; six great-grandsons.
