She was predeceased by: her husbands, Elix Breaux and Mike Smith; her parents, Ivy Benoit and Thelma Carpenter; and her stepfather John Carpenter.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Breaux (Sharri) of Toledo Bend, Rosalind Frederick (Ferris) of Kaplan and Regina Romeo (Erroll) of Abbeville. She is also survived by eight siblings, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
