He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard R. Stout and Nellie LeBrun Stout; his former wife Shirley Jean Clark Stout; his brother John Ray Stout; and his son James L. Stout.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Stout; his sons, Richard Stout (Debra) of Westlake and Ted Stout (Rebecca) of Gillis; and his stepchildren, Bonnie Reed of Marriottsville, MD, Craig Murrell (Deanna) of Mt. Airy, MD, Roby Anne Dyer (Syd) of Lake Charles and Brett Murrell (Bekki) of Commack, NY. He is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, nine step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren.
